flash fxp wont connect to my xbox

when i try to connect to my xbox with flash fxp it says connected than wont bring up the files and then says connection lost what should i do??

 

Ensure you're using the correct cat5e cable.

'Crossover' is a direct connection to the PC's NIC and 'Straight-Through' is via a switch\router.

Also ensure FlashFXP has firewall rights and that the green light on both NICs (Xbox and PC) is ON!!!

Start there and see how you go...

 

agree, make sure your using a CAT5 crossover, which will actually work both strait to a PC or to your router as i have used it with both on mine.
Also you are going to have to list the network settings on your PC,Xbox and FlashFXP program so people can tell if anything is configured wrong.

 

i go through a modem and thats fine it just wont bring up the files ont the xbox and then it looses connection. is tere other things involved like softmoded xbox or other things with the computers network settings

 

You can't go through a modem! Unless you have a Router/Modem with switch capabilities!?

You need to use a ethernet port



and a crossover cable



You will be using FTP (File Transfer Protocol) which is an ethernet (Data) connection.
