I just spent 3 hours to get a matix chip to boot. The LED was flashing green but would only show the colored X no xecuter 2 at the bottom. After a second or two it would show a diagainal screen.I tried six different bios. Then I held the chip down when I booted and it booted slayer's auto install. I ran it with the 120 gig hard drive I had in. It loaded perfect. I needed to keep the chip down so I pulled the board and bolted it in.The bad thing is the last bios I had in was evox D-6 Eject fix.I don't want to pull the board again but I don't see any "Flash Bios" or "system Utils" like in EvolutionX v1.8.3285. Dose anyone Know how to flash the bios in the xbox with slayer's setup. Help Please. Thank you.
man cant you just boot from the 1.8.3285 cdrw with the chip in mode 1? it's got the D6 an D6ef on it.
extract your slayers iso to a temp folder, go in the system folder, then bios folder, if what you need isn't in there, put it in there, then remake the iso. i just opened my slayers 2.1 and it had the 1mb D6 eject fix, 256k D6ejectfix, the 1mb X2-4976.02 multiversion, and the 256k X2-976-02 multiversion.

About this slayers 2.1 If I install my new HD and run this, does it setup the HD with all the necessary standard XBOX files, or do I need to FTP to the original HD first and save the contents off so that I can then copy them to the new HD? Anyone know a site that gives step-by-step instructions on this slayer software?
slayers will set up a factory drive or a new one, but it's always a good idea to make a backup of your C: and E: xbox drives before you do anything. just boot from the slayers disc and it will ask if you want to set up a new drive or a factory one.
