Just flashed mt bios with tsop. When xbox turned off nothing works. all i get is a blue screen. The disk drive won't even open nor can I FTP with PC. Is there an alternative to fix my stupidity. Have xecuter2 chip and was running 4976.02_Multiver_2 bios. Have I stuffed my box? Can someone please give me some advice? Cheers!
You flashed the bios on the Chip or the TSOP, or you flashed the chip with the Matrix TSOP bios? If you flashed the chip and got a bad flash you'd need the External programmer to reflash it. If you flashed the TSOP and got a bad flash then it should still boot from the Chip and you can reflash the TSOP again. RustyDog
OK this is what I did. I downloaded the latest evolution x build 3921. When I opened the file to see what files were there I noticed in the bios folder there were some the same as mine and a few diferent ones. I ftp the xbox to my PC and tranfered the tsop d6.bin bios to the bios folder of the xbox then went to the xbox and launched the menu then went down to flash bios. The previous bios was erased and the tsop d6.bin was installed then the xbox turned off. which is what normally happens. When i turned the box back on I got nothing but a blue screen and the disk drive would not even open. Then the box turns itself off after about a minute. Does this help?
Depending on your version of Xbox the TSOP D6 bios may not work which is probably the reason for the XBox not booting. The D6 bios from what I remember only works with v1 and 1.1 Xbox's. Either way it sounds like you'll need to reflash the chip externally with a PC programmer to get rid of the TSOP D6 bios and reflash it with another bios. RustyDog
