FlashFXP wont even connect to my xbox. I have a crossover cable connected to the back of my computer and to the back of my xbox. I have put in the static IP of the xbox and the login of the chip. The connection times out.

did you change your pc network card to static too? Also is your firewall letting the connection through?

This may sound stupid but I found out the hard way. You have to be connected to the internet when you try to connect the two or else it times out.

yep. i never had much luck w. crossover cable. I had to get a router and use two regular cat5 cables. but it has worked well for about 4 different xboxs that i have connected to my comp. no internet needed for this config
