hi guys i am new to the gamecube scene and have just modded my cube with a qoob sx chip,what i need to know is can i flash it from disk and how any help on this would be greatly appricated thanks d
Not sure how you'd do it from disc (yeah they could really use some actual documentation on the qoob site or at least keep it up with the bios releases), haven't tried. But, if you have a BBA you could get dolstream, point it to 192.168.1.32 port 4000, boot the cube while holding B then sending the bios file over from dolstream.
i dont have a bba yet, but from what i gather it can be done i have tried searches on google and yahoo and there are sites listing just copy qoob 12.elf with a dummy file of one gig and pop in the disc and just run the file it dose not work am i doing something wrong i do i need to adjust the pot on my laser to read dvd-r...this is just puzzling to me any way thanks again d
have sorted flashing the qoob sx chip first off YOU MUST adjust the pot on your gamecube laser mine is about 195 anything around there should do... this is done so the gamecube can read dvd-r.Im using ri-tek cheap brand. download the latest bios for your chip and put it on a blank dvd-r burn as data using nero with a dummy file of about a gig bung it in the cube and it will run giving you a list of the files on the disk just move joypad to highlight file and push A button it will then start flashing chip. thanks to anyone who replied to my mail if you need help drop me a line....d
