The new third wave of DS Lite have a nice suprise inside for all users who pretend to flash their consoles.
Nintendo showed their not so dumb as you can think and now, if you try to short the SL1 (this operation is needed in order to flash the firmware) the console will automatically shut down.
I hope all of you know, shut down when you are updating the firmware means bad, really bad thing will happens.
You will have a new brand brick. But don't panic if you did it already.
There's hope in a near future somebody finds how to bypass the SL1 security, when that happens, you will be able to use a flashcard pressing A+B+SELECT+START and then turn on your console.
Stay tunned to the flashme sites.

This only happens if you happen to touch the battery connectors (which are very close to SL1) while flashing.

Nintendo will not block you from being able to use SL1 by just powering off the DS as I believe it was put there for there use as well, why else would they have it so accesible on both DS's?

Also like how your called 'brick'land and you talking about bricked DS's
