I have come across 2 CD's in my collection that I purchased which have flaws on them.

One is a Travelling Wilburys CD that has a tiny glitch (a super tiny half second skip). For comparison, I tracked down a few versions of the song on the internet, some which had the same tiny skip, and some which didn't.

Also on Coldplay's X&Y which I just bought, in one of the songs there is a glitch, a little "click" sound in one of the songs, that always appears at the same spot, yet it does not always show up. Sometimes it play without the glitch.

Can anyone tell me what this is and why it happens? I have tried the songs on Winamp, iTunes, and Windows Media Player with the same story.

These record companies moan and complain about piracy and how people aren't paying for their music, and this is what you get when you fork out the money?
