I followed the "How to create Divx to DVDR Guide" which was posted on this website. It DID work... first try.... But only Kind of! I did everything it said... burned the DVDR.. and put it in my Sony DVP-NS55P player. I was SOOO happy when it started right up and showed it as a "DVD". I knew i did something right..... ONLY PROBLEM IS..... After the first 5-7 seconds of play (and YES the audio does match up.....) It freezes! BAD!!! It won't play past that point at all! It tries and tries... I can see on the DVD pLayer that it is skipping from "1:27 to 1:39 to 2:13...." and so on! No pattern... just trying to find bits and pieces of readable material i guess.....Also, it is a goes to a black screen while it searches... My question is... WHERE DID I GO WRONG?!? I did what the article said.... (to thebest of my knowledge)... COuld it be the framerate as which it was burnt? If you read the article.... it is VERY "step-by"step" and i know i did SOMETHING right, cuz i atleast got it to start. It just won't continue..... HELP PLEASE!!!! P.S. The movie was "National Lampoon's: Van Wilder". I am VERY new to this.... (as a matter of fact.. i read the above article and just thought i'd give it a shot....) THANK YOU VERY MUCH for ANY help you can offer!!!
ALSO... I burned it using Nero 7 at 16x. Could that have been TOO fast a speed to burn it? I have read (in other forums here) to NOT burn faster than 4x.....
P.P.S. Here is the link to the afterdawn guide, which i forgot to post above.... http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/divx_to_dvdr_with_dvd2svcd_normal_page_3.cfm
