forgot to finalize dvd+rs

    My dvd recorder is broken and i have a HOLE heap of unfinalized dvds i didnt get to finalize,is there a way to finalize the discs using nero? as theres important stuff on the dvds..

    They have to be finalized on the original recorder.
    There are programs that can recover (not finalize) the files on the disk.
    I don't know of any free programs that do this.

    does that mean i can get back what i recorded and finalize it on my new dvd recorder?

    The files would be extracted from the unfinalized disks then copied to a new disk on the PC.
    As I understand it, disks which are recorded on a standalone DVD recorder have to be finalized on the machine that made the recording.
