format hdd

    I want to format my 40g 2.5 inch external hard drive, to FAT32 format but it only allows me to format into NTFS, how do I get it to be FAT32

    I'm sure there are other ways, but a simple solution is to use a utility that HP offers for formatting USB drives. Just do a search for HP format utility; the latest version is 2.18. While written for USB drives; it works equally well on external hard drives, and it gives the option of formatting as Fat, Fat32, or NTFS.
