format MAC 1.44 to use on PC

    I need a boot floppy to flash the bios. Unfortunately all I have are some 2HD 1.40 MAC floppies. How can I reformat them to use on a PC? Doing the normal format does not work. There has to be a way. Take a strong magnet to them?

    I haven't actually tried that myself, if I am not mistaken, Mac floppies are designed differently than those used on a PC (actual physical differences). It could be possible, but it's just a guess, that a program like Drive Scrubber might be able to completely wipe the floppy of any format leaving it open to be formatted for use with the PC.
