I am sure this question has been asked before but can anybody tell me what format works on most DVD-PLAYERS? I have a new DVD burner which can do many different formats. What format are most studios movies burned using? Is the disk format DVD-R different from DVD-R+/-. Also, will most burners burn a dual layer blank disk which I understand many studios burn there DVD's on. Another question, I have found a place that sells 4X DVD-R's at .58 a piece in blocks of 200. Does anybody know of any place that is cheaper?

Most newer DVD players can support either format, My prefrence is +R media.
Production discs are pressed, not burned.
No current burners will burn a dual layer disc, recordable, dual layer media is not avalible yet.
Do not buy cheap media and expect it to work.
