Format Xbox HDD???

    im not intrested in using the original xbox dash at all, however i would like to be able to play xbox games. so im wondering if it would be ok to compleatly erase the hdd then just use evox and xbmc. should i manually remake the E drive and the required files so i can store save game files, if so how. and if its alright to do this, how can i format the hdd in Flash FXP?
    PS i dont have slayers autoinstaller or any other autoinstaller and dont what to use one.
