Format??

    I have a 4GB Memory for my camera
    And now i cant take pictures for some reason...The only thing the camera says is please format.i connect it to my computer and nothing happens..

    What should i do?

    does the computer sees the card or what? why not let the camera format the card.

    How do i format it with the camera?...
    well this never happened to me before so im new to this....

    camera manual should tell you how to format it

    PAN5Y- also Check the manual to find out if the card will work with your camera ! even though it's the right type card ( SD ect...) many Digital cameras will only work with cards up to a certain size. And this limit should be stated in your manual ! My vivitar has a limit of up to 256MB on the SD card for example ! So you may wnat to check that as well!

    I've been useing the card for sometime now...Just happned yesterday when i inserted the multimedia card onto the computer it reads it but there as nothing on it..it was all gone..

    So yea i put in my camera an it say please format..

    I found some of the user manuals i cant find the english one..its a good thing i know spanish but yea it use to have a folder called DCIM but its gone
