formating dvd-rw

    I need to re-format a dvd-rw. I do not want to use Nero software. I have tried downloading a version of nero without any luck. I know other people have asked this question, but they use nero software. I currently have Ulead Movie Factory2 and Dvdxcopy software. Is there any freeware out there that will do the trick? If so where is the website. Your help is appreciated. Thanks.
