I'm pretty much a NeroVision newbie, but I think I found one porrible cause for this error:

    [22:20:02] DVDEngine ##################################################
    [22:20:02] DVDEngine ERROR
    [22:20:02] DVDEngine cause: 128 (nmc_processing_exception)
    [22:20:02] DVDEngine source: CNeVideoEncoder::GetNextAccessUnit
[22:20:02] DVDEngine description: cannot get next video frame
    [22:20:02] DVDEngine ##################################################

I had chosen the country PAL option (Finland PAL in my case), and somehow this caused the subject error. When changing the default to simply PAL, this immediate processing error during the write activity went away. This is with the current version of NeroVision.

Has anybody else encountered the same?

    jn6464,
I am in same boat as you. I am Nero newbie and chose country option as "India PAL". Got the exact same error.

As I just bought Nero, I have this 10-day free tech support. I called them, sent the log. The guy said as my files are in wmv, something might be wrong and advised me to use stoik video converter to change them to avi format before burn - I need to try this.

However I just happened to come across your post and tried to change country option to PAL and it worked fine for me.

I liked your approach ;-) I am going to mention it to the tech support.. May be we get next upgrade for free ;-)

However do you think PAL and India/Finland PAL are the same? Will i be able to play PAL dvds in India/Finland???

    Thanks again!

I tried to duplicate the error using Nero Vision Version: 4.7.0.7 and found no problem.
Selected Finland as the country, the disk burned and played ok;the log did not suggest any problems.

The version of NeroVision that I am using is 4.9.6.6
This is part of nero 7 ultra enhanced.

Yes my version was 4.9.6.6 as well. Its odd because reading the docs it seems country PAL is the same as PAL. Just making it easier to pick the right one(?) But how can it cause this error. Anyway, I'm happy now it works with this simple change.

I ran into the same problem when I selected NTSC (United States).
NeroVision was unable to render the menus.
This drove me crazy for 2 hours, then I remembered I changed that setting. I put it back to NTSC and bingo, it started working again.

What is the difference between NTSC and NTSC (United States)?
I thought they were the same?

    HOLY CR@P!!

    You got it!!

I worked 8 hr. on a project to get:

    DVDEngine ERROR
    [20:15:19] DVDEngine cause: 128 (nmc_processing_exception)
    [20:15:19] DVDEngine source: CNeVideoEncoder::GetNextAccessUnit
[20:15:19] DVDEngine description: cannot get next video frame
    [20:15:19] DVDEngine

All I had to do is change the setting back to:

"NTSC" instead of "NTSC United States"

You guys are Life Savers!! It was a 8.25 hr video I was working on for a client, and after editing for it seems like forever, I got this error!!

    Thanks for the help!

(Nero never responded to the log file I sent them)

Nice to hear that! I now got a response back from Nero support, saying they acknowledge this as a bug and are working on a solution. It should get fixed with one of the next updates.

I know this an old thread but it was the solution to menu problems I was having with Nero Vision 4 (part of version 7).

Might be of use to others.

Thanks to jn6464 and the 'Search' function :)
