Free alternative to Nero Express

    A friend of mine installed Nero 8 (full/ultra) on my old pc, but the only program I ever used from it was Nero Express for burning data DVDs and CDs

    I'm wondering if any one knows a good freeware program that does the same thing as Nero Express

    I have IMGburn but I only used it for burning ISO file.
    Will it also burn say .avi files to a DVD, among other file formats

    Yes, you can burn avi, pictures and other formats as data. ISO and other image formats, VIDEO_TS folders and music can also be burned.

    if you got nero 8 and it was free,why look for something else? having troubles with nero?

    No my friend used his CD and his key on my old computer to install the ultra version but he's moved.

    Is there a free version as well??
