Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum, so please tell me if I've posted anything incorrectly. I'm looking for a program that can convert many different audio formats to MP3 and can also convert bitrates. This program should also be able to convert many files at once. I'd prefer that the program was free, but if you guys know of a great program for this purpose, I'd be willing to shell out a few bucks for it. Thanks for all the help in advance.
I like this free program. When the trial period ends,it will still do anything you need... http://nch.com.au/switch/
I might have to give that one a try. Does anyone else have any ideas? Again, thanks for all the help.
If you are looking to shell out more like 20-30 per year for an extrodenary app look at the thread about 3 down. It is about converting some kind of file, maybe a wma file. The paid for version of Media Monkey is also real nice only 20 USD but it is light weight to the poweramp converter. You really need to check out that app. MM is a nice player and audio manager. PowerAmp is the top of the converters. It uses only the top encoders like the LAME mp3 encoder. Not all encoders create faithful reproductions of your music. The free ones are less likely to do it right. The converter also comes with a ripper. I am not so crazy as to keep FLAC files but I am serious about my music. I use the LAME VBR in extream mode using the slow analysis to rip CDs. They sound as good as FLACs at 20% of the size. You can use it free for 30 days. The handy audio spy still works after the 30 days. You can see all the tag info from file explorer. That comes in real handy!
