What Type of Capture Device do you Have?? Cuz some Capture devices work better with certain Programs....

If you are Captureing from a DV Camcorder or from a Capture device Like the "Canopus ADVC-50/55/100/110/300" then something like "WinDV" or "DVIO" are Good and Freeware....

If you Have Just a Plain Tuner Card without Hardware Compression then you can use something like "Virtual-VCR" or "Virtual-Dub" to Capture but they will only Capture to AVI format useing the Codecs you have installed on your PC so the File Sizes will Be Pretty Big or you will have to have a Very Fast PC to Capture without Dropping Frames.....

If you want to Capture to a Format Like Mpeg-2/DVD Format then you are going to have to spend some Money on Mpeg Capture software as there are no Free ones that I know of....

    Good luck
