    Hi all

Back again with another query. I downloaded the free iPod converter (Jodix) but i'm trying to convert 2 .avi files (Top Gun film both CD1 and CD2- no jokes!) but it's coming up with a codec error?

    The actual message is...

The following file can NOT be read correctly <Folder extention> Normally, you need only to install the required codecs to solve the problem. Click the help button to get more information on....

Then after on there seems to be 2 words but you cannot see it, even if you maximize the box.

Any ideas as i can't convert the files?

Just need to add that i have checked the help button and it says that if i get a message saying 'The source file can NOT be opened' i need to download codecs. Well i don't get that exact message as you can see and i doubt it's the codecs as the video plays fine in Windows Media and VLC player.

    (HERE IS THE POSSIBLE SOLUTION)
While opening a video file, I got the message "The source file can NOT be opened".

There are many reasons can cause this error. The most common reason is that the needed codecs can't be detected. To solve the problem, you need only download and install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. K-Lite Mega Codec Pack is a free collection of codecs and related tools for playing all popular media formats. The latest version can be downloaded from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack.htm or http://home.hccnet.nl/h.edskes/mirror.htm. You can also get more links from Google.

I already have the codec all in one pack too.

    Any ideas?

Maybe you can try to download the codec for avi,eg.divx/xvid.
You can find that in google.
