Its been a while since ive been on the scene asking about this, to be fair I havent done much reading so sorry for the blunt thread. Last time I got free sports was through my freeview box and cable line, they blocked that with the upgrades and since ive never bothered. Now the football season is starting up and F1 has switched to sky im in a bit of a dilemma, I want to watch them but refuse to pay the monthly bills.

Is there another way of getting free sports, movies etc?

    Thanks

if you dont want to pay any subscriptions that leaves only 3 options ,buying the kryptview a780 for cable /paying for a c line for satellite tv /or online streams such as this one

I'm hoping to watch the F1 online, on Myp2p or something.
I'll be checking on here for any tips before the new season starts.
As for movies etc, there's another thread somewhere for watching online. (forums/all other topics/online tv)
    Good luck

I just plug the tv into the pc with a standard vga lead.
It has to be a decent stream though, like over 500mbps.

yea if the stream is pretty stable and good quality hook your lappy up to your tv ,my lappy has a hdmi output which makes it even easier .sopcast is another good option for streams as the streams using sopcast are more often than not very good quality .

Yeah there's a good tut on here by MICKAH about 'SOPCAST- Watching games on tv'.
I dont always find a link for the game I want though.
I tried Veetle and that's been good so far.
    Here's to anything free! :)

    Slighty better according to who/what?

The S10 has no scart connections on it at all so I don't know how you would link this up with other av items or be able to transmit it around the house. Therefore, I think the S9 is the better option.

Have to say I wouldnt pay for access to a stream which is free everywhere, the majority of streams are from the same source, just put into different formats, such as Veetle, SOPCAST etc, Just that some are more reliable, SOPCAST in this case

The reason folks stream is to provide those who dont have access to a service, free of charge, when they start to charge, you may as well pay a sub or pay for the service, as a stream is never the same quailty as TV broadcast, but now your being charged for it, sites like the above shouldnt be encouraged, cause it just starts the others doing the same, just my opinion of course, but if one gets paid for it, the others will to
