Ok i was getting trouble with my old version of windows (too many people messing about with it). So i used a fresh install with this Windows XP-Turbo 3D SP3 2010 & its been running great apart from 1 or 2 things. When i go to Windows update, it says i need .NET Framework 3.5 family blah blah & when i leave it to do its thing it fails to install & i've tried 6 times to sort this. Another thing, i cant even install Windows Live Messenger, it gets to 51% & just stays there for about an hour. One last thing, in my Device Manager it says my Video Controller (VGA Compatible) isnt installed & has a yellow question mark next to it, searched google for hours & still no joy.. Unsure if any of this is any use, but it's worth a shot: Property Value Manufacturer Shuttle Inc Model FB65 Chipset Vendor Intel Corporation Chipset Model 82865G/PE/P, 82848P DRAM Controller / Host-Hub Interface South Bridge 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) LPC Interface Bridge SMBus Intel Corporation 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) SMBus Controller @0500h CPU Intel Pentium 4 HT Cpu Socket Socket 478 Processor Upgrade ZIF Socket Max CPU Speed 3066 MHz System Slots 4 PCI, 1 AGP Memory Summary Location System board or motherboard Maximum Capacity 2048 MBytes Memory Slots 2 Error Correction None Use System memory Maximum Memory Module Size 1024 MBytes Warning! ok.. i will try an help, firstly could you post name and model number of your motherboard please. lets try and solve your vga problem first.
Hmm... In a bit of a pickle, lol. ok Try this link. the download is free, once you have run it, hopefully it will tell you the name of your VGA device Hopefully making it a little easier to find you some drivers. lol If it helps (or not) let me know.
Thanks guys & sorry for the late reply. @Pegasis - I haven't downloaded that program yet but will give it a try. @DDP - Ive no longer got the disc mate & i'm using a Catalyst 9.6 AGP Hotfix (As its the only 1 i can get to work & make the VGA problem go away. .NET Framework seems to be fine as well, but im unhappy with the Catalyst Options as most of them don't work with my card (ATI HD3650 AGP) :/ Cheers guys ^.^
