A buddy of mine is running some pretty old computer hardware and has decided he wants to upgrade to a new computer. His budget is pretty low, and he needed some help finding stuff, so I did a little online window shopping with him. He stumbled across this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=633868&Sku=B450-4100 BK He thinks it might be a great little system to add a processor, ram, hard drives, etc. to and it seems to be a pretty good deal. I'm not familiar with the manufacturer or any of that, and I was a little wary of it and suggested he post here for help. He didn't have a chance to, so I thought I tried to get him some opinions and assistance. If you have any experience with this manufacturer or their products, please clue us in on their quality...
It is called Mini because it refers to the External Drive bays. It has 3x 5.25 and 2x 3.5 External bays, and 2x 3.5 Internal Bays. A Midi will have 4x 5.25 and 2x 3.5 bays and varies for internal. Whereas Full tower has 4+ CJC
That looks good for a start. If you dont like mailing in rebates there is one here for $67.50 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=56-157-001&depa=1 Almost same features as the one from Tiger except Neweggs is a pentium, and Tiger's is AMD. Depends on what you like better. Good luck
thanks for the opinions all, but the situation has changed. i helped him find some deals on pretty quality parts and he's gonna build his own. and to boot, he ordered the same case i use for my current rig. lol, i showed him the stuff on it and the price and he jumped. anyhoo, thanks again and fare well.
