I would like to record music from my tv and/or cable box to my computer. After that's done, I would like to create a CD. My cable box has audio output and S-video connections. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance )

Is a tv tuner needed if I'm only interested in recording audio from the music channels -- not watching or recording shows? Is there no other way of doing this without getting a tuner card? Thanks again, in advance :0)

If you have a sound card with "Line-In", you should be able to go from the Audio out jacks(left & right RCA jacks) on your cable box. You'll need Y-adapter that goes from 1/8" plugs to 1/16" stereo plug(or mini-plug)to plug into your "Line-in" on your sound card. Then you'll need software to record. Nero works well for this or I think Audacity will work also. Sounds interesting, I've never done it before but I might just have to give it a try. I'm not sure about the quality though. If you get it to work let me know how it turned out for you.
