    this is driving me crazy

first of all the AVI plays perfect in sync

it seems to be VBR audio take note of that

I have tryed using VSO DICXtoDVD it encodes the vobs and all but it turns out it goes about a good 4 or 5 seconds out of sync and gradually gets worse

I tryed saving the wav separate with virtual dub and coveting to MPEG-2 with TMPnec that didn't work either out of syc

so here I have a avi file that plays perfect but I want to get the thing on DVD!

    any help would be great

    cheers

Are you sure you set Audio__Full processing mode, on VirtualDub? Because if you don't do this, VirtualDub simply makes a 'direct stream copy' and saves a 'fake WAV' which is, really, an MP3 file (probably a 128 kbps VBR MP3) and it's not a surprise if TMPGenc cannot load it, if you did that
A 'real WAV' should be 10.1 MB x length (in minutes) large.
After that, that 'real WAV' will be usable as 'audio input' by your favorite encoder (or authored toghether the M2V you made, directly of after re-compressing it to MP2), I assure you.
    Try again...
