I have downloaded the FTA firmware from emos Library under the the box super usb. I have added the firmware with no other. Problem is it wont let me put up the secret menu 1570 to turn the keycode on. I never had this trouble before. I have the box for 18 months now so i do think i have done everything right. If not could somebody tell me were i went wrong please. Does this firmware work in ireland? Will i get extra channels by putting this on bbc's itv's channel 4 etc.
In addition i have done a factory default before putting the free to air firm ware on. Should i have left the latest firmware on the box and then add the free to air also?
your thread title says free to air ireland(i assumed you meant satellite)as you wont need 1570 for fta channels(as all boxes come with free to air software for access to free to air channels)1570 was used for cable(they have since changed to n3, so no fix,so 1570 wont work)i assume your box is a c(c for cable)you need a s(s for satellite) and a free to air dish pointed at the sky satellite..you dont say where your from,or which box you have(c for cable, t for terrrestrial or mmds,s for satellite)if in ireland on cable sorry no fix.
Here below is a list for Ireland for FTA channels you will get on the boxes only RTE 1 TV 3 CHANNEL SOUTH SKY NEWS 5319 TV So That is the list i can find that you will only get on your dodgy box you will of course get approx 17/19 channels on your cable feed direct to tv. Feel free to add any extra FTA channels you find on your box with EMU switched off only !!
