What program are you using? I ran win 7 for awhile and it would always connect with filezilla so you should try that first.

IE8 beta and IE8 are both garbage so don't even attempt to use IE8.

Lol, as long as everyone is friends in the end. Now, if someone disagrees let me know. VVindovvs 7 is the newest version by M$, and if I were M$, I would have scripted some auto detection for detecting a hacked console they own, blocking any sort of connection. Even further, as soon as the PC has an internet connection, a message is sent to them with information, such as your IP and Xbox mac, then your prosecuted. Though it is unlikely, you need to take many forms of being caught and tracked into consideration.

Anyway, I know FTP works on Wista and XP without a client needed. I no nothing of VV'dovvs 7 FTP via a folder. Open my documents, then enter this in the address

    ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.0.2

In order to set your PC to do this, plug in the crossover cable. You should see the LAN connection in your network. Just edit Internet Protocol 3 (4 if vista) and you are good to go. You need to set your computer IP and Xbox IP Read this tut:

You can also ftp though a router, wired or wireless it doesn't really matter. I always have dhcp enabled and never have a problem with it. Demonix90 would rather go with a crossover cable instead. Either way will work, just read the guides on afterdawn and you'll be able to answer any question.

    Sorry,
just realized that this thread is for the xbox & not the xbox 360

I believe that you can not ftp to a 360 console

All I want to do is upload music, photos to my xbox 360 hard drive over a wireless network.

If you have a external drive format as FAT32 & the 360 will read it,assume same would go for a flash drive, not sure if files could be transfered that way,if not the only other way i think you could get your files onto the 360 would be to use a talismoon minspy kit, it comes with xplorer360,i haven't actually tried transferring any files myself like you want to do however i see no reason why it wouldn't work since it's able to let you move the 360 files to the comp & back, the beauty of it is you don't need to remove the hdd from the hdd case, there's two types of kits USB & SATA,talismoon.com should show them
