Im trying to FTP into my non-modded xbox. Im connecting through a single router, which is connected directly to the internet socket in the wall via DSL. The connection runs to my pc via USB, and via ethernet to the xbox (obviously). Im not sure if the ethernet cable is the correct one to FTP into the xbox this way. Any help?
you need to have a copy of either mechassualt 1, splinter cell 1, or james bond agent under fire. they cannot be platinum hits. i would greatly suggest splinter cell. after you have one of those you will need to get a linux file from action replay max or have me give it to you. my AIM name is: XIXmusic manXIX after you have that you need to take the memory card that has the linux files on it and copy it to your xbox hard drive. then load up the game. i can easily walk you through the splinter cell version because that is what i used. once you have the evox or unleashX dashboard running you will be able to connect using ftp. if you have xbox live my gamertag is: SocialSkillz
Damn i thought it would be that i needed my xbox modded. Never mind. I've got action reply and splinter cell 1 the original on thier way to me. I know a lot about modding, i just wanted to test that FTP'ing in and out of my xbox was OK, but i guess ill have to softmod my xbox before i found. Thanks for the reply! J4mes
Oh yeah, i just went down to comet, and bought a crossover cable, and bridged my connections. I heard this is a better way to FTP than through the router.
