Can anybody help me. I tried to setup XBMC on my xbox with has already an evox. i make a bad manipulation because i replace de evox.dbe by xbmx.dbe. since there my xbox can't restart on evolution x dashbord. i t start with evox and it change to xbox default dashbord. i tried to use many evox on cds to rebbot my xbox to be able to connect to ftp but it doesn't work. what can i do ? - how to connect to my xbox with ftp is there any way with default xbox? - should i bring the xbox hdd to my pc as a slave to change the configuration? - or there is a better suggestion Thanks
Try getting an autoinstaller disk like Slayer 2.6 or auto installer deluxe (AID), burn it to a DVD then if the Xbox will boot it you can reinstall the EvoX What you removed was most likely the XBE file, which you should NEVER mess with. Without that the program can not run.
I see a lot of this; I've personally done a few boxes myself; and never suffered it; but that's not to say that it doesn't happen to the best of us. I'm about to do another one this weekend; and the more I do; the more likely I am to see this issue. The slayers AID disc should really help from what I hear. Just don't REMOVE .xbe files, replacing them is okay sometimes, as long as you know what you're doing with them.
softmod or modchip? if softmod, try to load the game that you used for softmod. Then load the linux file. Then you can go from there. if modchip, then just load any autoinstaller disk.
