    first of all.

when you go into your evolution x settings (via the menu) does it show that your network is setup or present and the current ip of the xbox?

also, are you using an ftp client such as flashFXP?

what Operating system are you using on your pc?

make sure to have Setup Network = YES, FTP = YES, STATIC IP=YES, then define an ip such as 192.168.0.4 (just so your pc and your xbox do NOT have the same ip), then try to ping the xbox's ip. if it comes back with timed out, your xbox is not connected to your pc..

    to ping:
go to Start Menu > Run
then type command and hit enter (it will bring up a command prompt)
at the command prompt type: ping 192.168.0.4

hope that gives ya place to start..
    peace

So you have installed your mod chip, you have downloaded evox and your about to run xISO to create an evox boot disk. STOP!!!!.
Make sure you do the following first:
    1. Open evox.ini in notepad
    2. Ensure that “StaticIP = Yes”
    3. If it is No then change it to Yes.

Now create your xISO image and create your boot disk on DVD or CDRW

Why ? you say. Changes to the network settings only take effect when you re-boot the xbox. If you try to change these setting from the evox dashboard they will not take effect until the xbox is re-booted. And as you are running the dashboard from a read only medium any setting you change will be lost on re-boot.
