sorry to flood this board with questions... But I have one more question.

I am having trouble transfering an .iso to my xbox.

The xbox is connected and I can transfer other files but this one .iso file just won't transfer.

Unless the transfer is supposed to take 4 days, my progress on the transfer is nonexistant.

    BTW I am using CuteFTP.

    what game is it?
and you do not FTP ISO files, but the game files. Then you turn the game files into an ISO so that you can burn it to a DVD

try using a crosswired cable...just to rule out a bottleneck in the transfer. If this solves your problem, then it's something to do with your network and not the ftp program.

You could also try using another ftp program.

I would bet that there's a bottleneck somewhere....maybe on your 100mbit network (I'm guessing) you have a 10mbit hub/router...that's slowing the transfer down. If this is the case...replace that piece if hardware with a 100mbit one and things should be fine. (it's the difference of transfering at 900Kb/s and 11,000Kb/s)

I would recommend you using Qwix. It extracts the iso image file while trnsfering. Great program. http://www.teamavalaunch.com/qwix/ Theres the link tell me how it goes.

    THanks for your help.

but... it won't seem to transfer, I must have a bad iso or something.

How long would a 2.3 gig iso typically take to transfer?
