i got ftp working on network but any app for the xbox like xbmc with weather i cant get to work xbox live dont dectect ever it says create a new acount so i do then it goes back to dash and says something like xbox live not connected or detected or some thing how can i fix these i like to try some online apps
had a problem last night. Could it be the firewall on the pc? check that first by disabling it temporailary.
yeah the fire wall is full disabled but still get the problem i also turned the routers fire wall off what could be the error
what system are you on. I ask because I remember an option of internet connection sharing. I think you right click on the device and select properties and then there should be a tick box to allow it to share the connection. Strange that your ftp should be working. On the startup screen is the IP in the same region as your computers ip. also one last thing to check is that XMBC network settings are using the same as the dashboard. and that the dashboard settings are dynamic so that is automatically asigned an ip by the router and that the workgroup name is set to "WORKGROUP". sorry I'm not at the computer/xbox so doing off top of my head. I was fortunate that this all worked first time for me. if still have problems let me know rob
ill check the xbmc about 9pm when i can get some tv it is stange becuase i got ftp working i got Mimesis V3 working so it is very stange that xbmc at ant so it has to be the settings
well I might be wrong in saying this but the xbox doens't work like I expected it to i.e. like a PC. I thought if one worked the other should but apparently the xbox can only run one app at a time and therefore have their own individual settings(network etc). sorry thought it might be worth noting if this helps.
thats what i was thinking that if one works they shold all work but i just noticed last night there all got new settings so i ant worred about the weather as long as the apps i want working are working ill be happy
