Hello. I tried many ways to connect my xbox to my comp using a crossover cable, and an ethernet card. I followed rustydogs intstructions, and instructions from xbox-scene.com. I always get it seeming like it is going to connect, and then finally it stops about 30 seconds later saying it cant connect. I tried different numbers and stuff and still didnt get it to work. Did anyone have this problem before and know how to fix it? Or just anyone know how to fix it? Thanks a lot! duboy1
I had the problem for a while and I discovered it was Zone Alarm on my PC stopping it connecting. Disable all firewalls on your PC and your modem when doing it. I cant remember precisely but shall find out whether it is the xbox or PC that should have the lower of the IP numbers. RustyDog's tutorial is great though.
