Hi, I just bought a 50 spindle of Fuji CD-R's from Radioshack Canada on sale. I did not notice that it said Made In Taiwan on the package and on the CD surface. Anyways, they are made by PRODISC... Manufacturer : Prodisc Code : 97m32s19f Disc Type : CD-R Usage : General Recording Layer : Dye Type 9: Short Strategy (Phthalocyanine) Recording Speed : n/a Capacity : 79:59.72 703 MB Additional Capacity : n/a Overburn Capacity : not tested Im not so sure about this brand and have seen/heard mixed reviews about their quality. Can anyone give me an idea about the reliability of Prodisc CD-Rs? These Fuji's have all the same labeling about long life and durability, but really will they be as good as the TY CD-R's they used to sell? Does this mean Fuji has changed over from TY to Prodisc? Blah. It's getting hard to find good CD-Rs now that DVD-R's are so popular. TOM...
I just posted a logfile created by a disk with this mfs Prodisc too... the brand was fujifilm (made in taiwan) the link to my logfile: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/142048 I have been having a problem with my aspi layer and did the force and i'm using the 4.60(1021) layer version. That problem caused a handful of coasters, and not being able to burn disks over 700,000KB in size.
