I know it has nothing to do with windows, but I just wanted to share my story. So i get home from staples (computer store in Canada) with a led fan i got for the computer i am building, but i had no cpu, so i could not get the fan to go from the motherboard, but i really wanted to see it in action, so i went and made an adapter to plug it into a wall outlet, and then i puged it in! WOW, .5seconds of spining blue led's and then smoke all over, i unpluged it as soon as i could, but it was toast! dont know why i posted this,
Before you go blowing things up in wall outlets.... hahaha... next time, since fans run on DC current, not AC, try a 9 volt battery!
