G6 with Firmware installation

    My friend has a G6 flash cart set, if I tried playing it on my DS, would I have to install the firmware on it? If so, does it require opening up like the FlashMeV7? I need some answers, if you can help, it'd be appreciated lots, because you can buy fake DS games in China really cheap but they're on GBA cartridges.

    Also if the firmware does require installation with the G6, will the G6 automaticlly install the firmware I need? Sorry for double posting.
