I recently got a copy of Splinter Cell 3. I tried to find a working crack but I wasn't successful. So I decided to try harder in looking for a crack when I came across the following page: http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,10477449~mode=flat~days=9999 As sou can see from above the new protection StarForce installs protection device without EULA after the install the first time you attempt to run the game. And as might also see from the above page those "devices" won't remove with the uninstallation of the game. You might read the you can't uninstall those devises from the device manager but if you delete their key braches from your registry you can remove those packages. And why should you remove them? Because a small number of users had serious problems with their computers. I had a same expirience after installing my Graphic Card WMD Drivers which never caused me any problem at all. I couldn't boot Windows properly. I could only boot in safe mode. Wnna guess why? Simply because not services and device drivers are loaded in safe mode. Then I uninstalled my WMD drivers and Windows booted normally. Now, after learning about this piece of sh** that they want to call protection and deleting the device keys from my registry I reinstall the WMD drivers with no problem at all. I think that not only StarForce messes up with your system like this, but other might do as well. So inform other forums about this and post any problems that you have after having installed WITHOUT KNOWING IT such protections.
LOL I would guess that if you actually purchased a legitimate copy of the game, you wouldn't have a problem and would not need a crack.
True. But I don't want to focus on the crack. I just wanted to try the game and then go buy it, if its good. The thing is that original or not it installs those devices that could mess up with your system. I personaly don't like the idea of having these drivers loaded every time I boot my PC without knowing it. Even if the possibilities of having a problem are low I wouldn't risk it for just a game.
