Ok, I have a softmodded xbox, 80 gb hard drive. The other day I was playing forza motorsport which is on my hard drive (and which I own the original because I buy the games I like) and I was going to select a car and it said "your skin on this car may be damaged, do you want to delete it?" so I selected NO and started to press back until I was on the profiles menu. And what do you know, my profile wasn't there. I was on level 38, thats a lot of hours. So I turned of my xbox, crossed my fingers and turned it on again and selected the game. My profile wasn't there. So I selected the option for creating a new profile and typed in the exact name I had on my disappeard profile and it said "you cannot create a profile with that name because it's already in use, try another name (or something like that)". So has anybody had a problem like this, or does anybody have any ideas? Thanks.
Your game save profile has a corrupted file. Almost positive. You know when you're actually saving a game or whatever to a memory card or hdd and a prompt says, "don't remove mem card or turn off xbox...blah blah blah" That's one of the things that prevents, corrupted files. I'm not saying that's what you did but your xbox sure has the symptoms of such. You may be out of luck on this one.
