hello, this is my first post. i checked in the search section under EFA and what not and couldnt locate a suggestion to my problem. if there is an answer please point me in the right direction. here's my problem.

a few days ago i bought a nintendo micro that came with an EFA cartridge. after many hours of trying to figure out the software that was loaded on the cd rom i got i finally figured it out. i could tranfure games from the cd rom to the EFA cart. with no problem. every thing worked great!!! fitting up to 9 games on the cart.......i was in love.

i go to swap out some games and all of a sudden i can only load one game. when i try to add another game it says :linker not found" or something to that affect. i located a site that gave me the directions on how to install the software and what not.i even restored my computer piror to the install of the drivers and re installed the software. same thing......i can load one game but not multiple. the guy i bought the unit from refured me to come here and ask for help.

long time lurker first time user. any help would be appreiated as to if i messed something up or if i have to set up the cart. some how?

    thanks a bunch.

I do not have an EFA, but I do know similar cards require you to copy a loader onto the cart to be able to use more than one game, some software will have a check box (or similar) to include the loader when adding games.

thats my problem, if i deleted the software some how i dont know what it is to put back on it. really ticks me off when i have something so good and i go and ruin it lol.

all the software for the thing is on a disc. i can play the roms and stuff on my computer but i want them on my EFA so i can play them. one at a time isnt as much fun. im surprised there isnt more info on the net in reguards to similar things like this.

my understanding is the EFA didnt even come with software. you had to download it from their site. when i tried to download the newer version from the site it showed a "page can not be dissplayed" thing.......

Do you know what version EFA you have? I have had a dig around and found my 'Simple' version so only have the software for that.

im not sure which one it is. i know it is in a silverish colored wooden box. on the lid it has white on it with EFA Extreme Flash Advance on the lid.

you open it up and there is a spot for the cart on the left one small usb cable and one longer usb cable.

i forgot to add that when the message box pops up "no loader, can not add rom" i all ready have a rom on the cart. once on is on there i cant do any more than that. i tried checking the little icon boxes on the lower left where it says "Gba loader" and something else below it. i cant click either box.....

is it time for me to sell or keep lol

sorry for the extra post. i cant seem to find an edit button, if there is one?

Looks like you have the right software (when I try to use that version it detects my card incorrectly as mine is only the Simple version).

You can try this software anyway:
    EFA Simple Client 1.0

Also, do you know what chipset your computer motherboard is? EFA carts seem to have a problem with nforce boards which basically prevents you being able to add games 99% of the time.

If you don't know what motherboard you have simply try adding games from another computer or laptop and see if that works.

welp, after many an atempt i finally got it. for some reason every time i tried using the 1.0 software you linked it would lock up the screen for loading the roms. on a whim i decided to try another version and it works!!!!

i have to use version 2.80 i think it is but it doesnt matter. it works!!!!!
