games and music on external hdd

    is it possible to use a network hdd with an eithernet port with a modded xbox to store games and or music and other things on.....sorry if there is already a post about this if there was i couldnt find it

    Not without a pc to go with it..There is no way to use an external drive with an xbox..

    thanks........so pretty much the only way to get more storage for my xbox would be to upgrade the hdd, what i mean by that is there no way to stream games from an external device such as a computer

    you can't stream because the hdd is only unlocked when in the dashboard.

    If your modded up then investigate samba, you can access roms and music and films from the /share folder on your pc, but not xbox games as far as I know because as soon as the game loads it cuts the connection.

    yea it was stupid of me to think that i could do that now that i think about it lol i guess i thought you might be able to cuz you can on ps2 buti forgot that it has usb o well maybe when somebody figures out an easy way to mod the 360 like the regular xbox we can stream things from external devices
