hi,
there seems to be many diffent ideas out there on how to copy games, i myself have anydvd dvdshrink and dvd decrypter, i was just wondering if anyone knew if i could use just these progs to copy discs, if so how, and if i can what discs do i use- dvd's?

What type of games is it PC/Ps2? You wont be able to use DVD Shrink to copy games as that's only for Dvds and DVD decrypter is also for DVDs but you can use it to copy/burn Ps2 games, if you get something like Clone CD or Alcohol 120% then you will be able to copy them fine and as for media it all depends on the media the game is on.

So can i use dvd decrypter to rip it 2 hard drive then can i use dvd decrypter to burn it?

 

Yep. It will be DVD media for most games, just remember you need something like swap magic or a Modchip to boot them.

Unfortunately no you will not be able to play burnt games due to the protection system the games and the Ps2 uses. Swap Magic & Modchips go around the protection so that you can play burnt games. Were are you located US or UK?

 

I am in the UK, if i get swap magic e.t.c will i beable to play the games on my PS2

 

Yep Swap Magic will allow you to play backups but you will also need either a slide tool to slide the tray open so that you can swap for the copy or a fliptop which is a cover for the Ps2 that has a lid directly above the Ps2 disc tray that you just flip open and swap which is easier than the slidetool but if you install a fliptop your warranty will become void.

Slidetools are about £1 and fliptops are around £15-20.
