I have downloaded several .avi movies from Kazaa, and several of the movies flash in in out very rapidly upon my trying to play them. I have tried using all DivX bundles, ffdshow, and various other codecs. The flashing occurs in WMP9 and in DivX player 2. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks, James

is your video card all the way in your mother board?
    you might have board creep.

Thanks for the reply, I am not familiar with the term "board creep". Does that imply the video card may have been jarred loose? Should I attempt to firmly press it into the motherboard? Thanks for any help, James

    firstly dont use MP9 please
use other players to play ur avi films
however due to u installing a number of codecs this may bve cauding an interference
(as is the case with the entire nimo codc pack installation)
    uninstall all your codecs
    install
    xvid
    divx5.03 bundle pack
    and it should display
if it doesnt then get the nimo pack
    and intall only
the DIVX G400 filter 3.7 (found in filtershow)
    the ac3 audio decoder
    the ac3 decoder filter
now the film will definitely play without hassel infact any film will avi or watver file ext.
    ok so try it out
