ive been trying to put gcos 1.4 an my memory card and boot threw action replay.I can get all the dol files onto the memory card but it just wont work i got it to show the black screen with the ipl.dol in the upper left corner. But then after i add the gcos.gci i dont no what to do. The guide iv been following tells me to pick start game, open lid, close lid then menu will come up, select gcos14.dol. But wen i hit start game it asks me pic a game then wen i look for action replay its not there in any contry. So started over and im lost. Wen i tried to change the master code this time, changing to ADY0-WXRA-Q1MC4 3YHW-3R1E-4NPAQ ZJHY-B1ZH-6P00G I have version 1.14. It told me invalid data or sumthin like that and i cudnt hit done even thow id entered 3 lines of code. Im rely lost and need help.
Never mind i got it fixed, a few friends on msn helped me out. But i was wondering how to get the bin file thats installed on ur choice memory card moved onto a third party memory card. I wanna put the bootloader on a bigger memory card so i can put lots of .dol files on with it, but its not lettin me copy the .bin file in the memory card manager. The dol files move ok and i cant send the bin file to the third party card threw the pc cus then it just gets corrupt.
I was wondering what is it that you did to use it. I have a version 1.14 also and everytime I click on "Start Game" and open and close the lid, it just re-loads AR. I got the 3 extra files on my memory card already. I'm stuck on the last part, so please help if you can. Thanks in advanced.
have you changed the master code? When i tried it with out changing the master code it just reloaded the action replay. The code i changed it to is above. To change it go to pick a game go into the USA flag and pick action replay. There is a code in green that says (m), press Y at it and change it to the one above. If "action replay" dosent come up wen ur looking for it delete the dol files from ur memory card and start over making sure to change the master code.
I have got to be screwin up somewhere. Dude, I would really appreciate it if you can give me a step by step guide on what you did. Seems like my GC has a vendetta against me, either that or I am a complete fu**tard. Regards, Acid
Thanks Ghost. I finally got it working, now I can't get the ctr-gcs to upload anything to the card. It has a weird "only received 4 out of 104 bytes" error. I am using 1.0a and it still gives me this error. Anyhelp from anyone would be appreciated.
Sorry acid_dk for not getting back to you sooner ive been away since 29th june with my mates and havent even seen the forums since. As for the error that your describing im sorry to say i cant help you. Ive never encountered this before so im not sure how to correct it. Just incase you didnt know you need an official memory card, very few 3rd party ones work. I have 6 different memory cards and my official one is the only one that works with ctr-gcs. Im assuming that uve got the ipl.dol running threw the action replay its just that ctr-gcs isnt letting you put the efal or gcos bios on your memory card. Also remember that you have to convert the bios you want wich is in .dol format to .gci format before you send it to the game cube. Sorry i cant be of more help but i will ask around and c if i can find out anything for you. If i do i'l get back to you straight away.
