Up until about a week ago my drive had been reading DVD movies and DVD data discs just fine. I've tried reinstalling the generic drivers that come with windows XP. I've tried finding drivers on the company's site but there arent any. I've even reinstalled my DVD codecs over and over. I'm ata coplete loss. One thing I have noticed is that whenever I let the computer decide which drivers to install it installs the damn drive as a cd rom drive. I can't get it to install it as a DVD drive.
