Getting a program to start on boot and then immediately minimize in win 7

    Hey guys,
    I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get a program to start itself whenever I log in but then have it immediately minimize itself on windows 7. I've gotten it so that it starts on boot up, but then I have to manually minimize it myself, so I'm halfway there.

    I've already tried the "shortcut" trick, but it doesn't work.

    try opening the program and clicking pin to task bar.
