Getting Australian DVB-T to dvd from an AverMedia card. Audio Sync problems

Hi,
currently logging the .mpg transmission stream with the AverMedia software. The result is good. It plays back perfectly with the AverMedia software and even PowerDVD. Problems arise in the demuxing. PVAStrumento sometimes loses sound sync in the output files. Here is a log

Am I making a basic mistake here? Perhaps ther are some settings apropriate to Australia that I need to know about?

 

Use ProjektX instead of PVAStrumento and u will get a perfect sound sync.

 

ProjectX is no good either. The avermedia card is the problem. Not a true mpeg output. Some half assed mpegish stream.

 

Hi I have an Aver-Media DVB-T Card and have noticed that if recording VHS thru the card and find on some projects there is alot of audio dropout esp. near the end....What do you mean not a true MPEG recorder/encoder, I notice on the box it says records in mpeg 2 but when checking end product properties it doesn't say file is mpeg whats going on...

I too have an AVER DVB_t card. And I too have experienced MPEG capture problems. Whilst the box may say "original MPEG-2 format" and "MPEG II quality" the files are not compatible with many editing programs, including Ulead and Adobe. And what do AverMedia have to say... nothing. No response to my question to their support dept. about the MPEG format they use. I don't knock the quality of the card, just the software they package with it. I even downloaded the latest drivers, no changes there. So the next step I am going to try is TMPEGenc to see if I can encode the Aver MPEG to another format that I can edit in Ulead. I have not reached your situation yet of sound sync problem.
