My windows xp crashed the other day and I lost everything, including all my purchases with itunes and my whole itunes library. Thankfully, I have done a clean re-install on my computer so my computer now works but I still don't have my itunes music. I have all the songs on my ipod touch. Is there a way of transferring them to itunes? When I plugged in my ipod touch and went on itunes it said "The iPod "iPod touch" is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPod and sync with this iTunes library?" I didn't so I selected the transfer button. That didn't do anything. So, please tell me there is a way of getting all my ipod touch music back on itunes. Thanks, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New year James
Whatever you do, don't sync the iPod..Until you've created a backup first. http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=800 http://www.ehow.com/how_2187421_transfer-music-ipod-itunes.html
its simple, connect your itouch to itunes, cancel the sync, right click your ipods name (it should be displayed in the middle-left of the itunes window) and click "transfer purchases". then everything in your ipod (apart from photos, contacts, emails etc.) will be copied to itunes. i hope i helped !
