ok i'm curious (and this is most likly a dumb Q), is there a way to get onto the internet through a normal TV cable wire? cause i'm getting a miniPC for my room and i'm using my TV as the monitor....and currently the family computer only has dial up and i REALLY need some faster, so i'm trying to think of ways of getting the internet in my room without actually forking out $50 a month. i was thinking bout the whole "borrowing wireless internet" but little hesitent on that....so does anyone know a nice, easy way of getting some high speed internet?

borrow. it's gonna cost you to get cable internet. You could do DSL its a little cheaper but the speed and bandwidth are lame. It's not illegal to borrow internet if you don't have to decrypt anything.

Thing is tho it's not like your Wardriving...or are you... If you purposely go out and try to access protected wifi then your wardriving and that's not legal...however if you are just accessing and unsecured network and not trying to access anything within the network just the internet your fine. (depending on state laws and statutes...I live in colorado and I know its legal)
