If you already haven't bought Norton Ghost as yet and you are still looking for a program to make an image of your hard drive then might I suggest Acronis True Image 9.0 from http://www.acronis.com I find it easy to use and it also has the ability to do scheduled backups, which can be either an image your entire drive or particular folders on the drive. Restoring data is also quite easy. Just follow the menu for both tasks(ie imaging or restoring data) and it should work quite well.
