I purchased a new battery for ipod nano, now the apple that says it is charging doesn't show. Is this typical? Has anyone else done this changing battery themselves thing?
I have, and my iPod functions just as it had previously. Are you sure it is properly connected? And does the battery actually get charged?
I put it on the charger adapter all night and it did not charge. I powered up my usb's, one didn't charge it and the other I plugged it into showed it was fully charged while plugged in and it got warm so I unplugged it. I also updated Itunes to 7.0, and noticed that the word device didn't come up on my side menu. Ipod is in the my computer and there is like 50 files for ipod but I havn't been successful yet, I don't know what I am not doing right. My husband resoddered the battery, I wasn't watching but it does turm on and play, the battery is just low. Hrmffff Shelley
The battery is getting almost gone! I have tried all usb ports, the plug in adapter, installed ipod again and upgraded itunes to 7. On itunes, it did not give a dialoge that says device (ipod) I have a nano by the way. I have reset, dumped the temp files on computer and the ipod is still not charging. Maybe a new cable that goes from ipod to computer, don't see how the cable wouldn't be working, gads anything is possible, I don't know why we pay so much for so much headache. I love my ipod, but it has been the biggest pain. It was a gift from hubby, engraved, brand new, but not from apple store, a new one from ebay. I want to start over but don't have 150 bucks! Any suggestions to getting this thing to work? Thank you in advance Shelley
